About RWYS Quilting Phoenix

Reap What You Sew (RWYS) Quilting began as a ministry of First Christian Church of Phoenix (FCC) in February 1997. Master quilter, Sandy Goforth, a member of FCC at the time, agreed to start a quilting group with a three-fold focus to…

1. Show Christ’s love to the community.
2. Pass on traditional needlecraft skills.
3. Nourish and develop binding friendships.

Although the three-fold focus remained the same, the scope and outreach of RWYS has greatly expanded. Since 1997, over 45,000 sewing-related items have been donated to various hospitals, hospice facilities, adoption agencies, veteran groups, and other Arizona organizations.

In August 2022, Reap What You Sew became an Arizona nonprofit organization officially known as RWYS Quilting Phx. Retroactive approval of 501c3 status was received in January 2024.

RWYS Quilting Phx meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from January through the first meeting in November. Quilters of all skill levels are welcome to participate in this volunteer community outreach organization. Check out our calendar for meeting dates and special events.
