The creative work and activity of the RWYS Quilting Phx members continues all year long. Yet the last third of each year brings the work, fun and fellowship to a closure. In September 2024, the annual retreat was held at Bison Ranch in Overgaard, AZ. Fifty ladies enjoyed a long weekend in the cooler climate. With the theme of “Meet Me at the Pumpkin Patch”, there were lots of fun activities, good food and yes, beautiful quilts created.
October brought the busy activity of completing quilts to be distributed at the end of the “work year”. During the first weekend in November, quilts were hung for display at First Christian Church. Also, that weekend, over 600 quilts (and additional items) were sorted for the receiving organizations. The annual Distribution Night was held on November 4th. The 2024 receiving organizations were:

On December 7th, RWYS Quilting Phx members gathered for a Christmas Brunch. The gingerbread theme helped kick off the holiday season for those in attendance.
RWYS Quilting Phx will restart meetings on the first and third Tuesday each month on January 7, 2025. Afternoon and evening sessions are available to allow for flexibility in participating in this active, community-serving nonprofit organization.
